DKE wins new EU-Horizon Europe grant: “HARMONIsed network through smart technology and Collaboration”

Researchers of the Institute of Business Informatics – Data & Knowledge Engineering participated in the kick-off meeting of project HARMONIC (“HARMONIsed network through smart technology and Collaboration”), a large multinational research project with industry partners in the domain of air traffic management, which is funded by EU Horizon Europe, running from June 2023 until May 2026. Among the 19 partners from ten different countries that participate in the project are EUROCONTROL (project coordinator), Frequentis, Swiss International Air Lines, Skyguide, AIT Austrian Institute of Technologies, and Thales. The focus of project HARMONIC is on employing artificial intelligence for digitization and automation in air traffic management. The project ultimately aims at improving efficiency and flexibility of European air traffic operations.
